iDrated

Many of us don’t drink enough water, however it is a key element for maintaining our health and general well-being. Simply increasing your daily intake of water helps to keep your skin looking vibrant and younger, aids your natural digestion, improves your overall concentration and helps your body to remove toxins.

iDrated is THE way to keep track of your water intake. With simplicity and gesture-based interaction at it’s core, iDrated makes it quick and simple to log your water levels and check how hydrated you are. It can even give you a gentle nudge when the app isn’t running should you need the extra incentive!

    I really like the app.
The ‘touch and hold to show the new drink selector’ is one ‘gesture’ that makes me feel “it is too much gesture-based”.

I would rather prefer to have 3 nice icons to touch being (for example but this could be configurable by touch and hold on the icons):
    - one cup (20cl)
    - one glass (25cl)
    - one bottle (100cl)

I really don’t care being able to drag to select up to the cl the amount I drunk.
Additionally I tend to touch and hold at the top or at the middle of the screen which gives me as much as 84cl !!!
Most people will drink 20cl to 25cl at once and no more.

You may keep your nice touch and hold mechanism with the nice graphics appearing but then just making some predefined steps when sliding up and down with the default value (the one that appear first when the hold event fires) to something ‘normal’ like the 20 or 25cl I told you about.

    Last little detail:
Your bottles are set for ounces. I mean that for people choosing Litres, one full bottle should be 0.5L, 1L, 1.5L, …
The values displayed for full bottles are inherited from Ounces, I think.

Since you say you are dedicated to details, I wanted to share my user feeling.

Thanks a lot for your nice application.

I think this app is great! I love the design and the simplicity to use it! My only thing is that the amount of water a person should intake depends on a persons size. So maybe it would be possible to add that so when a person signs in it asks for height and weight so a person can get a more accurate idea of how much water they should be drinking.

Overall though, I love the app!
